Loan Officer Job Description

Summary

Loan officers proactively solicit and self-source new residential mortgage loans in compliance with and to meet the company’s loan quality, client servicing, and production goals. Loan officers are required to conduct sales and engage in sales activities in a variety of settings, including and away from the Frontline Mortgage regular place of business.

Responsibilities

Consult with customers to fully understand their financial needs, goals and obstacles.

Analyze applications carefully to determine best loan product and type.

Ensure all paperwork and documents are in place and in full compliance with state and federal lending laws before closing.

Work closely with processors and underwriters to expedite the loan process.

Communicate frequently with customers and third-parties throughout entire transaction.

Proactively anticipate potential delays.

Stay current on the best products and practices in the industry

Work both independently and as part of a team.

MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Frontline Mortgage Loan Processors are responsible for preparing and processing retail mortgage loans from the time of application through final approval, while maintaining contact with all internal and external parties, and receiving/reviewing all necessary documents. They must work within compliance of bank, regulatory, and investor guidelines and while meeting Frontline Mortgage customer service standards. This position entails communication with customers, internal staff, brokers, counsel, title companies, and more while responding to inquiries, resolving issues as they arise, and obtaining all necessary paperwork.

Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in loan processing, preferred.

General understanding of closing and title procedures, documents and underwriting requirements.

Familiarity with VA, FHA and conventional loans.

Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to multitask.

Demonstrated capacity to learn quickly and adapt to a changing workflow.

Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Collect, verify and analyze all documentation required for a loan decision.

Request and manage the return of all required documentation from customers, including third-party documents, prior to closing.

Ensure that all loan documents are complete, accurate, verified and comply with company policies.

Meet all deadlines while managing multiple projects at once.

Perform additional duties as needed.
